The Train East 2023

A short synopsis
A film made in praise of the importance of the in-between; the journey and the time spent looking from a window at an unknown and often unknowable passing world just out of reach. Made from a very small number of the creator's own personal photos taken from train windows, the film which began as an experiment to see if they would be possible to 'animate' into life resulted in the tail of something between a real-life stream of confessions and memories, all the more muddied by the author's own dreams.
The film is an enquiry into how dreams/memory and travel all intermix and how we often, especially over time end up weaving our own narratives of often semi-fictious places that live in a parallel universe, similar but not exactly the same as the actual places we once visited.
